Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security providers record technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, to keep the site running and secure. We don't use advertising cookies or sell access to your browsing. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on our public pages to count visits and measure page speed; it doesn't use cookies or follow you across other sites, and it isn't used in the client portal. The application uses your browser's session storage to save your progress; the portal uses sign-in tokens to keep you signed in.
How we use information
- To review your application, underwrite, make offers and fund approved requests.
- To place your file with partner lenders when we don't fund a product ourselves.
- To verify identity and bank accounts and to prevent fraud.
- To service your account: payments, payoff letters, renewals and support.
- To contact you about your request by phone, email and text, as you agreed when you applied.
- To meet legal, regulatory, tax and record-keeping obligations.
- To secure and improve our website and services.
Some steps, such as reading bank statements, use automated tools, including AI. People on our team review the results and make funding decisions.
How we share information
- Lenders and funding partners we submit your file to, so they can evaluate and fund your request.
- The broker or partner who referred you, about the status of your request.
- Service providers who work for us, such as cloud hosting and storage, email and text messaging, document analysis, identity and bank verification. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Credit bureaus and verification services, to obtain reports and checks you authorized.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, our clients or others.
- Business transfers: in a merger, sale or financing of all or part of our business.
We do not sell personal information. Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Text messages
If you agree to receive texts, we may send messages about your application, offers and account. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
How we protect information
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limited to people who need the information, and multi-factor sign-in for the portal and our staff systems. Full Social Security numbers are stored separately and never sent by email. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your portal password and sign-in methods private.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services, service funded accounts, and meet legal, regulatory, tax and dispute-resolution requirements. After that we delete or de-identify it.
